***CONTACT THE OWNER OF THIS BOAT: BILL 336-413-8754 or 336-922-2223 or bladerunner4105@yahoo.com ***
This is a 1997 CAROLINA CLASSIC 25 EXPRESS .
Purchased from the original owner in January 2007 however, like so many well-laid plans, I have not had much opportunity to do so. Between work, a divorce, being a single parent to two teenage boys, etc.
The boat was ALWAYS flushed after EVERY use and always received top-notch care. I have all the manuals that came with the boat and electronics. When I bought the boat I replaced all belts, engine hoses, risers, manifolds, entire raw water pump, etc. as a precaution. Since the picture of the outdrive was taken I have put on a new set of aluminum props, new zincs, and replaced a leaking trim tab cylinder with a new one. This boat has around 640 original hours and runs perfect. period!
**POWER**
The engine is a raw water cooled 330HP Volvo 7.4 (454 c.i.) using a jackshaft to get the power to the Volvo-Penta duoprop outdrive. The engine is in the center of the boat for optimum weight distribution. Compression numbers from when I bought the boat are: (1) - 145, (2) - 140, (3) - 145, (4) - 135, (5) - 140, (6) - 130, (7) - 140, (8) - 130. The boat has dual batteries with a switch and a fume detector and halon fire suppression.
**THE HULL**
The hull is in excellent shape with the only exception being some dock rash on the port side and a gouge around the bow eye. I have a new can of factory supplied gel coat for repair if you are up to the task or want to hire out the job.
**ELECTRONICS**
All electronics work perfectly and I recently had a new Standard Horizon CP 300 GPS Plotter /Fish Finder unit with an East Coast C-map chip professionally installed. This unit has surpassed all my expectations for accuracy, quality of readout, ease of use, etc. The unit can show either GPS map only, fish finder only, or split screen. The boat also has a NorthStar 951X GPS/Plotter, Furuno FVC 667 color fish scope, Simrad-Robertson AP11 autopilot and an ICOM VHF radio. I also have a Lowrance LMF 400 fuel flow gauge that I have not installed. The wiring is in place but I haven not decided where I want to mount the gauge.
**TRAILER**
The trailer is a couple of years old that I bought new (it was a leftover) when I bought the boat in January 2007. I installed the trailer guides last Fall. The tires are like new (the trailer has only traveled once from NC to my house in SC) and a couple of trips around town. -
-I can say that every time I have had the boat in sloppy conditions she brings a smile to my face. The boat weighs 8500 lbs dry so be prepared for a ride that is much different from your average center console. The ride, build quality, and vendor support is second to none. Period.
The boat holds 165 gallons fuels and burns around 17 gph at a cruise of 26 knots. Top speed is over 30 knots. The boat has an electric head that has never been used. The boat holds 23 gallons of freshwater. It has fresh and rawwater wash down, a large livewell, forward/aft bilge pumps, hydraulic hatch, trim tabs, windshield wiper, dual engine room blowers, etc. For fishing the boat has Lee Junior 16ft outriggers, a Penn Downrigger, and multiple rod holders/rocket launchers.
This boat is TURNKEY!!
BOAT IS LOCATED IN: Beaufort, SC. (29906)
